Non-Profit Consumer Organizations Spending some time on this Board, I've noticed what I'll characterize as reported less than stellar performance by the non-profit organizations who are out there and were established to help borrowers deal with the challenges associated with foreclosure. One of the benefits of teaching is the free time I have during the summer. I figured what could be better than volunteering some of my available time this summer to teach those who work for this type of organization about the foreclosure process from my point of view (having extensive experience in this area). I sent an email with my attached resume that outlines my experience, indicating my desire to volunteer to provide training specifically as it relates to dealing with institutional lenders and borrowers. Below is the "thanks but no thanks response." It reinforces my belief that many of these "not for profit" organizations exist not to help their clients, but to help those who operate them. Daniel Hi, Unfortunately Acorn Housing cannot have volunteers for our foreclosure/delinquency clients because of grant’s restrictions. Thank you very much for inquiring. |
