Default Technical question about NOD date

I have a question. With the CA wildfires, my house was within the fire zones and Chase granted me a loan moratorium for 90 days to catch up due to the Federal Emergency. Our initial NOD was filed within that 90 day period. I called Chase and spoke with someone who indicated that the NOD was filed in error. Today, while reviewing what little options I have left, I faxed and mailed a QWR to Chase's CEO requesting the documents and questioning the date of the NOD. If Chase submitted a NOD before the moratorium time is up, can I assume that the NOD date is null and void? Does that mean, by any chance, that the process has stopped? How can I work with this? I have been told by letter that our earnings are "insufficient" to work with any form of modification, however, the earnings were fine to qualify for the loan. Its an IO loan fixed for 7 years with Chase and I am in southern CA. Can I dispute the NOD date? I cannot afford an attorney, so I am hoping the QWR will help as we cannot remember even seeing a HUD 1 until after the loan was put into force. Maria
