Ex doesn't make payments on time My husband and his ex divorced in 2000. In the divorce she got the house in AZ. At that time it wasn't worth much since they owned it less than a year. We found out about 3 yrs ago when we went to buy a car that she was making payments about every 60 days, we had to prove with the divorce papers she got the house. She never has put the house into her name nor has she ever tried. The payment was about 756 a month. I know its with Countrywide. Needless to say my husbands credit is pretty shot. My husband has been in contact with Countrywide and we know she is on a repayment plan and is now current however we were just notified that she paid short on the Feb payment and still hasn't made the March payment. She gets 1400 a month in child support and she has a decent job, her mother is always complaining to us that she isn't getting child support, well its garnished from his check so her daughter is a LIAR! The loan balance is 78082.84 as of today.. We honestly wish Countrywide would foreclose on her. We can't afford to give her anymore money. We've talked to an attorney and he said pretty much since she has ruined hers and his credit that no one is going to refi just to her name and a judge isn't going to kick a mom and 2 kids out on the street.. My question is why does countrywide let her play around like this and not just foreclose and get it over with?? How long will they continue to let this go on? Also how can we find out if a home that is in AZ is in the process of foreclosure? |
