We are current on our loan with Countrywide and have been trying since Jan 2008 to acquire a loan modification since our loan is adjusting as of 6/1/2008We have sent in all documents required and have now twice been denied via my phone calls to Countrywide to check status of our request, & was told that we should received a letter, but have not & we can't get them to send me anything in writing stating that the investors New York Bank does not allow loan modifications due to interest increase and there is nothing Countrywide can do for us. As I said we have been customers for 2 years and have good credit, never been late (so far) with our mortgage payments. Does anyone know anything about this and what other options we have.
