Default First Franklin Help Needed in Tampa

Ok,Trying again. Spell check hosed my whole post.First Franklin 80/20 8.8% / 10.6%. Bought in May, 2007 and got sick in August. Had emergency surgery in October and was finally able to get a new job in January. We relied on savings as long as we could but are basically 3 months behind. I think. First Franklin won't tell me right now.I had been working with someone in loss mitigation who kept asking for pay stubs. I kept sending them along with a hardship letter, expense report, pay stubs, and tax forms. I could not get him several weeks ago so called their collections department. They said no problem, can you make 1.25% payments to catch up? I said maybe but needed to discuss with partner.I also had sent in info to Acorn Housing. I do have a phone interview with them on Thursday. However, we received a letter from a law firm on Friday saying the 1st had been excallated and we were going to foreclosure. Sure enough, Saturday we received the summons. Now I'm freeking out.I called Acorn and they said we should answer the summons. The summons says we have 20 days from Saturday, April 15. I called First Franklin, and my conctact appears to not be there anymore. His extension cycles back to the auto-attendant. I got a new person who said the file had closed and been referred due to non-responsiveness. Non-reponsive? I had sent them a lot. The new contact said he could re-open the file and not to worry. The tentative sale date is June 26 and "we have plenty of time". Easy for him to say. He even e-mailed me new forms because First Franklin has locked me out of their website.First, should we answer the summons NOW or give the FF negotiator a couple of days? We spoke last on Saturday. How should we respond? Acorn would not help with that. Should we send QWRs to FF and the broker. The original broker told us he was doin us a favor and not charging us his usual. Looks like he charged us 1% origination. But looking arround here, it looks like we got taken. We rushed with this lendor because our original lendor was one of thouse that folded early last year the day before we were originaly supposed to close. FF approved us in a day and a half.We didn't have great credit. We own a 2nd home in Orlando that wouldn't sell so we rented out. That's the only reason we got a 2nd. Now our credit is quite bad because of this lateness and slow pays after my surgery. Please, please help. We want to keep our home. We paid 268 and it appraised at 279. Only 1 or 2 here have sold since November and they sold for 20 to 30 less than we paid.
