Trying for 4 months for a Hardship with Option One Mortgage Corperation I had a Forebearence agreement with OOMC in July of 2007. It had me paying 350 dollars more than my regular payments for 15 months to repay some payments I missed due to a rapidly rising ARM. In February I called to find out why my statements had stopped coming in and was told by a man with very poor English that I had not made a payment in 7 months and now owed $10,700. I will start by saying this is not true, I had been making my payments. I was also told in that conversation that there was no record of a forebearance in the computer. I immediately contacted Hope Now and was linked to someone who has been trying to help me through this. I sent my first hardship packet via fax to someone who stated a week later that she had no idea how I had gotten her numbers, but to lose them and never call her again. I called again and was told to fax the packet again to another person. I did that and he says he never recievd it. So I faxed it again and now he won't take my calls. When I call the Loss Mitigation department directly to try to speak to someone else, I always get the same guy and he tells me that there again is no record of my fax being recieved. By the way this packet just so happens to be 63 pages long, so I am a bit perturbed as to how 63 pages can just vanish into thin air. I now have Field Inspectors coming to my home because they say OOMC has been trying to contact me and I have changed my number. Well, that's not true either. I have had the same phone number for 15 years. Also, my sale date was supposed to have been frozen effective the day I spoke to the Loss Mitigation department and they faxed my Hardship paperwork to me. That didn't happen either. My sale date was finally frozen when I contacted Customer Advocacy after the notice ran in my local paper. They said they were sorry, their computer error. Tell my kids that, now everyone knows, rumors are spreading and my kids are the brunt of cruel comments by neighbors when had they put in the stop order, it would have never made it into the paper. I say this because I wasn't served with Foreclosure paperwork until 2 months after I was told the projected sale date would be frozen. There has never been a court ordered date of sale. I have no idea what to do next. I was told by someone in India my packet has been recieved, but I am being told by people in the U.S. that it hasn't. I don't know what else to do. I feel so helpless....Can anyone help????? |
