Hi, It's 4:05am, I've been up all night crying, and have to go to work in a few hours! I don't know where to start, but I'll make it simple. I'm about to lose my house. I feel so helpless as I know nothing about loans, mortgages or terms. My fiance has always done everything from purchasing to refinancing etc.. All I've ever done is sign about a thousand documents. He's pretty much given up and is just waiting for the day we must move out. I'm having a hard time letting go of something so dear to me..my home. I want to make sure before letting go, I know my options or any possible alternative to foreclosure, to be certain that I had no other choice. My fiance's not helping me find out since he's given up. Therefore, I'm on my own. Please forgive my ignorance about our loan status as I try to explain what I know. I looked all over the house for anything that might look like a huge packet of legal terms and amounts with a lot of places to sign and large amounts (:confused:talk about being clueless, I'm so embarrassed!) :eek:I almost passed out when I found more that I expected! I found the following packets: (These packets are each about 1 to 2 inches thick!) * A packet which I believe are the terms for a WaMu Equity Plus line of credit in the amount of $40,000.00 * Another packet also from WaMu for a ARM refinancing in the amount of $332,000.00 * A third packet from Wells Fargo which are the terms for a line of credit in the amount of $41,400.00 * A fourth packet also from Wells Fargo for another line of credit in the amount of $38,600.00. The last payments we sent in for all the above loans were in December 2007. I lost my job in May 2007 and was not working up until I started my new job on March 3, 2008. I wish I could explain more in to detail about our financial hardship and current status, but I have to get at least two hours of sleep before I have to get ready for work. Any clue or advice or question would be very much appreciated as I have no clue on where to go or where to start to find out if I have any options. Even if you think there's no hope, please tell me. Maybe I just need to hear it or read it, to be able to let go. I really need to know if I'm trying to hold on to something impossible.
