Litton Loan: not applying payments and claims they don't get my faxes I found this site through ripoffreport.com and came here to check things out. I was reading another thread in this section about someone who was having trouble with Litton Loan Servicing. I saw that people on this site have information on how to get things resolved with this company. Please help me. I don't know what to do. Here is my story: My husband sent the mortgage payment in May 08. It was returned NSF. I found out on 6/26 when I checked our account online. I immediately called Litton and paid by phone the mortgage payment plus one hundred dollars in fees (2 late fees and 1 NSF fee, totalling $865). We had already paid the June payment as usual since we did not know the check had bounced. When I paid I paid with my checking account not my husband's. I then paid July's payment check by phone. I discovered the night before that my $865 was not credited to my account. Litton says my payment was returned NSF so they did not credit it and again charged me fees. I faxed the Research department my bank statement on 7/21. When I called to check on 7/28 they said they did not receive it. I have the fax transmittal page saying it went through. So on 7/28 I faxed again to the Research department and also to a rep's (Tiffany) personal fax. She said she would hand deliver it for me. When I called back to check on it, I was told they are not allowed to transfer calls so I could not talk to Tiffany. The rep said she could email Tiffany and have her call me. So I said to have Tiffany email me. She said they are not allowed. So I asked to speak to the Research department and they said they do not accept phone calls. So I asked to have Tiffany call. She has not. Meanwhile, I am still getting 5-6 calls a day from the default counseling line. When I called them back today I was told again that they did not get my faxes.I have the fax transmittal pages for these as well. I told them today that I sent a letter as well. (I sent a qaulified written request). I told the rep that under RESPA they cannot ignore my complaint. He said, "They weren't ignoring me. They haven't received anything from me." So he then tells me I can fax my proof to his supervisor. I asked how I could confirm that the supervisor got my fax since they cannot transfer or let me talk to the same person twice. He did not have an answer. I asked to speak to the supervisor and he sent me to his voice mail. Later this evening I get an automated call saying a rep had tried to reach me, which is not true because I have been here all day answering automated calls from Litton. :mad: I am so frustrated I don't know what to do. Please help me. I owe them nothing and they keep tacking on fees. I am trying to sell my house and I don't want any problems. I have never been late before. The bounced check was a first time thing that I remedied immediately. P.S. We sent the qwr registered mail return reciept and forget to attach the bank statements so I am sending another copy tomorrow. |
