7/28 called emc they received all my paperwork for loan modification. the guy i spoke with said it would not be approved unless he put me on a repayment plan for 4 months at a reduced payment, while tacking on the difference to the end of my crazy loan. this only delays the process and there is no guarantee for the approval. i explained to him that when i was current on my payments i requested this packet several times and i was never sent one. only after i missed 2 payments the packet arrived. I need the modification now i cant afford my payments and i will be worst off when the rate adjusts! homes on my street which are larger are selling and are listed for 100,000 less. did anyone else encounter this situation? I'm not paying august so i will be 3 months behind, they can either work with me or i will walk away and by a cheaper house under my husbands name. thanks
