Dealing with HFC SUCCESS!! Greetings,We are with HFC. I called them because we are now, for sure unable to may June's payment. We refinanced with them Oct 07, and the payments, however high, were managable. Now they are not. Husband is commission only and almost 80% of his pay goes to the mortgage. With 4 babies, and 10K per yr in taxes, we are in a bind. But I have complete faith it will work out for us in the end. Anyway- I called the loss mitigation dept of HFC- and spoke with a representative who advised me to sell my home, stop living like a Rockefeller and live somewhere I could afford. (if only she knew how we live) And she said I should not have so many kids! She was so very nasty to me, and this was a phone call I made before we were in trouble! These reps really don't care what is happening to us.The lack of compassion is overwhelming.I did, however find on their website a section for payment assistance. You need to log in and complete the information- and fax or mail the requested documents, like paystubs, dr bills, etc. I did that, faxed, and I plan on mailing a copy of everything I faxed to the address given, the local office, and the loss mitigation department. ( I think they are two separate locations.) Certified letters of course.Document every little thing- even phone calls. Start a folder and fight every chance you get. The fact is, it's not that they CAN'T help, it's that they CHOOSE NOT to help. That is a big difference. *Everything is negotiable.*I wish you all my best.Amyjean |
